The target audience for our music video is going to be teenagers/ young adults ranging from ages 14-24. We have chosen this age group to aim our music video at because we feel it will be quite girly and appealing to the younger generation; due to the clothing choice, settings and lyrical choice.
MUSIC VIDEO:
Our music video is going to be very girl orientated and definitely emphasize the strong independent women through the strong visuals we are going to shoot and the lyrics we are going to mime - written by Rita Ora. Her song is very powerful telling her boyfriend ' I don't wanna fight anymore' and so we plan to aim it an audience who will perhaps know this feeling that Rita Ora is describing. Another reason is that we want our video to also have an impact on the audience and highlight the lyrical content of not being a pushover in relationships and standing up to who your with. We are going to do this through a quirky edit of having the main character pushing against the screen at some points in the video and using the split screen effect to show rebellious, powerful image reflected in the lyrics. Relating to our target audience of teenagers who probably feel this way sometimes and so can associate their own lives and emotions with this video.
DIGIPAK:
For our Digipak that we are going to make it will be again aimed at the target audience of 14-24 because we will use bright colours and graffiti art to attract the customers eye. It will also give the customer a clear view of what sort of music is on the single and the age range that the songs are specifically aimed at. We will also use quirky pop style backgrounds, fonts and photos to grab the attention of our target audience. We will selectively choose images which represent a rebellious but flirtatious style and make the Digi pack look original and on trend for the target market.
MAGAZINE ADVERT:
Our advert advertising the single - Love and War by Rita Ora will also be aimed at the target audience age group of 14-24. We will artistically create a magazine advert which represents the story behind the song as well as the pop genre and rebellious characteristics represented through the lyrics. We will use bright, colourful, eye catching images and colours to draw the attention in of our target audience. We would like to also edit the images so they have a modern twist on them and represent the controversial song we are advertising. Through the means of photoshop we will be able to imaginatively edit the photos so they stand out and appeal to the younger generation. We shall also use text which grabs and holds your attention to tell the reader when the single is on sale, the title of the single, the Artists names, and the main featured song.
